To Our Prospective Nannies
Thank you for your interest in Annie’s
Nannies. It is always great to find new talent in the
nanny industry! If you are thinking about applying for
a position, there are a few things that you may want
to know; particularly about job requirements.
Experience Matters
First, only nanny applicants that are over eighteen
years of age with at least two years of child care experience
will be considered for placement. Caring for small children
on a regular basis is a tremendous responsibility and
it is essential that you have a proven grasp on the
“ups and downs” of everyday life with children
at different stages of development. In addition to experience,
you will be required to furnish at least three non-family
references that can attest to your child care skills
and work history. All applicants must undergo an interview
in the North Andover office, as well as in-person interviews
with prospective families. During the interview process,
you will be required to provide consent to run criminal
background and safe-driving checks. You may also be
asked to provide any special certification and/ or transcripts
pertaining to child care studies or degrees that may
have obtained, so please come prepared!
We are here to serve you too
Upon fulfilling the above requirements, it is
the goal of Annie’s Nannies to work with you on
a personal level in finding work that is compatible
with your experience, schedule, income guidelines and
professional goals. Keeping in mind that the most successful
nanny placements are the ones in which the nanny becomes
a welcomed part of the household “team,”
Annie’s Nannies will work closely with families
to assess their needs and child-rearing philosophies
to ensure that you are being matched with families that
share your ideals and are interested in what you have
to offer. Unlike some of the larger agencies, we have
the luxury of working to closely together so that you
become more than just a name on paper, but more a welcomed
asset to Annie’s Nannies for years to come!
Our working relationship does not just end at the point
of placement. You may consider Annie’s Nannies
your ongoing support network in the event that you need
professional advice, questions answered or information
on local activities or nanny networking opportunities.
If your situation changes after placement and you find
yourself seeking new or additional employment, Annie’s
Nannies will gladly work with you to find another family
upon obtaining your current/ previous employers’
recommendation. In fact, most of the nannies that have
been placed by Annie’s Nannies in the past six
years have worked with us to find new placements upon
families moving, children growing and needs changing
because their experiences were so rewarding!
Next Steps
Please find out for yourself by submitting your
