Annie's Five Step Screening Process
1. We are extremely conscientious in selecting our child
care providers. Our first step in the selection process
begins with a telephone screening and application review.
The purpose of this pre-screen and review process is
to establish their communication skills, professionalism
and experience.
2. Only the truly qualified candidates proceed to the
second step, the personal interview in our Andover office.
The personal interview is specifically designed to assess
the candidates’ strengths and gain an understanding
of their individual work style. During the interview
the candidate must reflect a strong desire to work with
families and must possess all the qualities that are
ideal to a child care provider. These qualities include:
warmth, maturity, responsibility, enthusiasm, patience
and confidence.
3. All providers are asked to provide all reference
information and any documentation pertaining to child
care studies or certificate programs which will be verified
as part of our third step.
4. Criminal background and safe driving checks are
completed as the fourth step once candidates have met
all of the other aspects of the process in accordance
with agency standards.
5. Once candidates are ready for in-home interviews,
we then look to your guidance and feedback on which
provider is a good match for your family. We will also
keep in contact with interviewees throughout the process
to ensure commitment and enthusiasm toward your available
position. This fifth and final step is essential in
our continued goal of always find the best possible
care for your family!
